We are currently recruiting reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistants to join our team on an ad hoc basis in Wellingborough. This flexible role is ideal for individuals looking for temporary work within schools, care homes, catering units, and other hospitality environments.

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the kitchen team in maintaining high standards of food preparation, cleanliness, and hygiene while ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with basic food preparation and service.
• Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas.
• Supporting chefs and catering staff as required.
• Ensuring all food safety and hygiene regulations are followed.
• Receiving and storing deliveries appropriately.
• Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times.

Requirements

• Previous kitchen or catering experience preferred but not essential.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Flexibility to accept shifts at short notice.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate (required).
• Food Hygiene Certificate desirable but not essential.
