Are you an experienced electrical engineer looking to work on high‑value, critical power systems? This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist engineering team where you'll play a key role in maintaining essential power equipment across a wide range of projects.

This is a hands-on, field-based role involving travel across the UK, with occasional travel into Europe. You'll act as a technical expert, ensuring critical power systems are maintained, repaired, and ready for deployment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), diagnostics, and repairs on-site
  • Preparing and maintaining equipment to ensure full operational readiness
  • Working on a variety of critical power equipment, including:
    • Loadbanks (AC/DC, resistive/reactive)
    • Generators
    • Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
    • Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS)
    • Transformers
    • Power distribution equipment
  • Fault-finding on complex electrical systems, including three-phase
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with regulations
  • Completing reports, service documentation, and inspections
  • Supporting wider operational teams with technical expertise

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in a field service or maintenance engineering role
  • Strong electrical background with fault-finding capability
  • Experience working with critical power or similar systems (generators, UPS, transformers, etc.)
  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • Experience working with three-phase systems
  • Competence using electrical testing equipment
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • LV/HV qualifications
  • Experience with loadbanks or power distribution
  • Background in power generation, utilities, or critical infrastructure

Why Apply?

  • Opportunity to work on specialist, high-value power systems
  • Varied role with nationwide and occasional international exposure
  • Be part of a technically strong and supportive engineering team
  • Ongoing development and progression opportunities
  • Stable role within a critical and growing sector
