Pay &amp; Rates<ul><li>Day Rate (08:00 - 19:00): £16.17 per hour</li><li>Night Rate (19:00 - 08:00): £19.97 per hour</li><li>Overtime (over 45 hours): £24.26 per hour</li></ul> Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Safely operate a van across designated linehaul routes</li><li>Transport goods efficiently between depots, warehouses, and customer locations</li><li>Load and unload cargo, ensuring all items are handled and secured correctly</li><li>Carry out pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards</li><li>Maintain accurate delivery records using company systems</li><li>Communicate effectively with the transport team, reporting delays or issues promptly</li><li>Provide a high level of service when interacting with internal and external customers</li><li>Assist with route planning to ensure timely and efficient deliveries</li></ul> Skills and Experience<ul><li>Valid driving licence with a clean driving record</li><li>Previous commercial driving experience (linehaul or logistics preferred)</li><li>Familiarity with GPS and route planning tools</li><li>Strong organisational and time management skills</li><li>Ability to safely handle and move parcels (manual handling)</li><li>Good understanding of transport safety standards and regulations</li><li>Clear communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving</li></ul> Working Environment<ul><li>Driving for extended periods in varying road and weather conditions</li><li>Regular interaction with warehouse and operations teams</li><li>Split shifts and night work required - Example shift pattern: 17:20-21:40 and 05:20-09:50 (Sleep out time unpaid)</li><li>Occasional overnight stays may be required</li></ul> What Success Looks Like<ul><li>Consistently meeting delivery schedules</li><li>Maintaining high safety and compliance standards</li><li>Delivering excellent customer service</li><li>Ensuring vehicles are kept in good condition</li></ul> Compliance &amp; VettingAll successful candidates will be required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and pass a full vetting process prior to starting.This process includes:<ul><li>Verification of address history</li><li>Review of employment history</li><li>Standard background checks in line with company and industry requirements</li></ul> Please note that employment is subject to successful completion of these checks.
