Class 1 HGV Driver Vacancies - Burton upon Trent - Peak Season Opportunities

Blue Arrow, working in partnership with XPO, is currently recruiting Class 1 (C+E) HGV Drivers to support the busy Boots peak season operation based in Burton upon Trent.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure consistent, well-paid driving work with routes already planned throughout the peak period.

Position Overview

Role: HGV Class 1 Driver (C+E)

Location: Burton upon Trent

Start Period: July 2026 (assessments from Week 2)

Contract Duration: Peak period with potential ongoing work

Pay Rates: £17.40 - £24.80 per hour plus holiday pay

Assessment Process: Paid assessments and inductions (upon successful completion)

About the Role

This position involves trunking duties for a major retail distribution contract. Drivers will benefit from structured routes, minimal physical work, and the flexibility of a 7-day operating schedule.

Working Patterns

Due to the nature of the operation, shifts are available across the full week:

• Day shifts

Candidate Criteria

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
• Up-to-date CPC qualification
• Digital tachograph card
• Strong understanding of UK driving regulations
• Reliable, punctual and flexible attitude
• Applications welcomed from newly qualified drivers

Assessment and Onboarding

All drivers will be required to complete an assessment and induction process from Week 2 of July 2026 at the Burton site. These sessions are paid, subject to successful completion.
