Sous Chef - Contract Catering (Term Time Only)

Location: Fordingbridge

Hours: 44 hours per week

Weeks per year: 46.5

Pay: £17.00 per hour

Days Off: Wednesday & Sunday

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Sous Chef to join our contract catering team in Fordingbridge. This is a term‑time only position, offering great work-life balance while still providing full-time hours. You'll support the Head Chef in delivering fresh, high‑quality meals in a friendly, professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
  • Prepare and cook high‑quality dishes in line with menu requirements
  • Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
  • Assist with ordering, stock rotation, and basic administrative tasks
  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused working environment

Working Hours

  • Monday: 7:00am - 3:00pm
  • Tuesday: 7:00am - 3:00pm
  • Thursday: 7:00am - 3:00pm
  • Friday: 10:00am - 7:00pm
  • Saturday: 7:00am - 7:00pm
  • Wednesdays & Sundays: OFF

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced catering environment
  • Strong understanding of food safety and allergen management
  • A team player with a great attitude and high standards
