Administration Support - 12‑Month Fixed Term Contract
Location: Belper
About the Role
We're looking for an organised and proactive Administration Support professional to join our client's busy service environment on a 12‑month fixed term contract. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast‑paced setting, and is confident supporting multiple teams at once.
Although this is not a customer service role, you will communicate regularly with internal colleagues and occasionally with end users, particularly when taking card payments. You'll be based on a contact‑centre floor, so you should feel comfortable working in a lively and sometimes loud environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out a wide range of administrative tasks across multiple communication channels.
- Supporting both office‑based teams and Field Service colleagues to ensure timely and accurate job closure.
- Reviewing daily business requirements and providing reliable, solution‑focused support to business partners and B2B customers.
- Handling occasional Business‑to‑Consumer enquiries, creating positive and empathetic interactions when needed.
- Liaising with Field Engineers to ensure smooth information flow and efficient service delivery.
- Coordinating the ordering of consumables and cross‑branded spare parts to keep operations running effectively.
- Using digital tools and spreadsheets to prepare and send customer communications.
- Assisting the wider Customer Care team and providing reception cover within the service building.
- Supporting other areas of the business when required, even if tasks fall outside your usual day‑to‑day responsibilities.
What We're Looking For
- GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C / 4 or above.
- Experience working in an administrative environment.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage tasks efficiently in a dynamic setting.
- Confidence using spreadsheets and digital systems; openness to learning platforms such as Salesforce.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to multitask and handle calls from engineers as part of daily workflow.
- Comfortable working in a busy, loud, contact‑centre‑style environment.
What You Can Expect
- A modern, recently refurbished workspace designed for comfort and productivity.
- Sit‑stand desks to support wellbeing and focus throughout the day.
- Clear communication of shift patterns to support work‑life balance.
- Regular team‑building activities and social events.
- An attractive remuneration package, including 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays and bonus opportunities.
- A generous pension scheme to support long‑term financial security.
- An inclusive environment that values individuality and promotes equity.
