About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Second Chef to join a dedicated catering team within a healthcare environment based in Botley, Southampton. You'll play an important role in delivering high‑quality, nutritious meals to residents and service users, following individual dietary needs and ensuring excellent food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef with day‑to‑day kitchen operations
- Prepare and cook meals within a healthcare setting
- Confidently follow special diets (e.g., texture‑modified, allergen‑specific, medical, and cultural diets)
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and comply with food hygiene regulations
- Assist with menu planning and stock control
- Work collaboratively with the wider care team to provide a great mealtime experience

- Food Safety Level 2 (or willingness to obtain)

- Able to work calmly and professionally in a structured environment
