Hours of Work 0800 - 1400

Pay: £18.00 - £21.00 per hour

Are you an experienced Head Chef looking for flexibility and variety? We are seeking a talented and adaptable chef to join our relief team, supporting multiple educational establishments across Hampshire.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen operations across different educational sites, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Prepare and deliver high-quality, nutritious meals tailored to educational settings.
• Manage stock, ordering, and kitchen staff effectively.
• Maintain allergen awareness and adhere to dietary requirements.
• Uphold health & safety and safeguarding standards at all times.

Must-Have Requirements

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a similar environment.
• Experience in cooking for children and understanding of school meal standards.
• Enhanced DBS with Child Workforce, dated within the last 12 months (or willingness to renew).
• Own transport and full UK driving licence - essential due to mobility between schools.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (minimum).
• Strong knowledge of allergen management and HACCP.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to different kitchens and teams.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Desirable

• Previous experience in education catering.
• Knowledge of special diets and nutritional standards for schools.
