Enhanced DBS Catering Assistant - Immediate Start!
Blue Arrow is currently recruiting for Catering Assistants with an Enhanced DBS to join our team, supporting school kitchens in delivering nutritious meals and excellent service to pupils and staff. If you're passionate about food, hygiene, and making a difference in a child-friendly environment, we'd love to hear from you!
Location: Various school sites
Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00am - 2:00pm
Pay Rate: £12.21 - 12.60 per hour
Contract Type: Ongoing temporary
DBS Requirement: Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) - must be in place prior to start
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing friendly and efficient customer service during meal times
- Assisting with food preparation and portioning
- Serving meals and drinks in a timely and professional manner
- Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Maintaining cleanliness in food prep and dining areas
- Organising and storing ingredients and supplies correctly
- Receiving and putting away deliveries
- Clearing tables and ensuring the dining area is tidy
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months' experience in a catering or kitchen assistant role
- Food Safety Level 1 certificate (can be provided free of charge)
- Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) - essential for this role
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Friendly, reliable, and punctual
