A respected educational institution in Basingstoke is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Cook to join its in-house catering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a culinary professional who takes pride in creating wholesome, nutritious meals and enjoys working in a structured, daytime setting.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook daily meals for students and staff in line with planned menus and dietary guidelines
• Ensure high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety throughout the kitchen
• Assist in planning menus and contributing fresh ideas for meal improvements
• Collaborate with the wider team to deliver smooth and efficient service

🔹 Candidate Profile:

• Previous experience in a similar cook or chef role, ideally in an educational or contract catering setting
• Strong understanding of food hygiene practices (Level 2 Food Safety certification preferred)
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and manage prep during service times
• A friendly, team-focused attitude with a genuine passion for good food
