Blue Arrow Barnstaple is working on behalf of our client Perrigo based in Wrafton to recruit a team of Packing Operators to work on a flexible basis but ongoing basis. You will be placed on a shift pattern and given an annualised rota meaning you have visibility of your future working days and therefore can plan around this. The site itself it a supportive environment to work in and has excellent reviews from current and previous employees. What are we looking for? * Previous experience in a manufacturing setting would be an advantage but is not essential. * Able to stand for long periods of time so physically fit * Must be excellent with Timekeeping. * Good Communication skills are a must. * Ability to work on your own and as a part of a team. * Ability to pass a basic Literacy and Numeracy test. The Role: * To work within a team to pack and label completed products at the end of the production line. * Carrying our regular 'in process' checks * May include general portering duties Hours &amp; Rota: * Day and Nights shifts are available - these are either 07:00 - 19:00 or 19:00 - 07:00. * 50 minutes break given per shift - 30 minute lunch and a further 20 minute break. * You will be working 3 days and 33.5 hours paid per week. * Saturdays are a part of the rota - however you will work only 25 per year. * You will be working only 136 days per year, compared to the average person working 232! Pay &amp; Benefits: * Day Shift Pay Rate - £13.43 per hour. * Night Shift Pay Rate - £15.87 pe hour. To drive and load all waste collection vehicles on scheduled collection rounds as instructed and in accordance with the current team task and finish scheme. 2. To ensure that all processes / collections are carried out in accordance with Health &amp; Safety procedures and the Drivers' Handbook. 3. To ensure that all tachograph regulations are adhered with. 4. All Road Traffic Regulations are adhered with. 5. To ensure the vehicle is in good working order, vehicle defects are recorded correctly and subsequent procedures are carried out appropriately. Vehicle cleanliness is upheld daily / weekly. 6. To use in-cab communication technology to follow instructions and to record work completed and record incidents such as blocked streets, bins not presented for collection etc. 7. To hold the appropriate driving licence, undergo any required training and maintain a driver's Certificate of Professional Competence. 8. To oversee the crew, ensuring that all performance / disciplinary matters are escalated appropriately. 9. To assist the loaders with the collection and emptying of bins and sacks. 10.
