We currently do supply to contract catering sites, Hotels, Restaurants, pubs, cafes, Prisons, schools, academies, nurseries, (if you have an child enhanced DBS within last 12 months or on the update service.) and care homes, hotels, restaurants, golf clubs, event establishments, I am sure we have something to fit your experience and needs.Main Duties<ul><li>Work within as part of a team</li><li>Putting away stock and deliveries.</li><li>Working to the IDDSI framework to ensure meals are prepared correctly.</li><li>Food orders, dependant on the role you are placed into i.e head chef/chef manager.</li><li>Preparation of food including variety in diets which included texture diets, blended meals, and modified meals.</li><li>Prepping/tidying areas of the kitchen including pot washing.</li><li>Adhering to all relevant health and safety requirements</li><li>Ensure all paperwork is completed for the day</li><li>Cooking nutritious food within requirements</li><li>Ensure a clean as you go policy is being operated at all times</li><li>Possibly serving food and/or operating a till</li><li>Possibility of pot washing in some sites due to smaller number of residents on site.</li></ul>Requirements and skills:<ul><li>Previous experience as a chef working within care homes and nursing homes</li><li>Experience with the IDDSI framework to prepare and cook texture diets</li><li>Flexibility in shift patterns including weekends</li><li>Great communication and team work skills</li><li>Level 2 food hygiene certificate dated within the last 3 years. (ideal but not essential as training is provided)</li><li>Level 2 Health and Safety Certificate (ideal but not essential as training is provided)</li><li>Passion for food</li><li>Ability to work under pressure</li><li>Due to certain locations a full UK driving license is required along with own access to a vehicle</li><li>Ability to cover ad hoc days due to client demand - you maybe required to cover same day requirements or bookings within less than 24 hours' notice, to cover absences and holiday cover.
